Yes I know threads about bots are usually closed, but decided to post this anyway.
We were doing Arborstone, finished and then ported to int 1 altrumm. Instead of leaving straight away, we noticed a large amount of Mo/W with the usual chinese bot names moving in a particular path. Whats so peculiar about this? They do emotes and talk in local ALWAYS in this order (when they get back in town)

/Excited
/Wave
/taunt
/Pickme
then say in local 'hello'

then they run over to the signpost next to Guardsman Oldrich and say
/jump
'i love you'

We thought this through and came to the conclusion that they were doing this to evade detection of bot detection equipment or something of the like.

Interesting. Sorry if this has been put up before.

This is quite interesting. I guess programmers do get smarter every day o.o

I had to go see it for myself and all I got to say about this is, it's just hilarious.

Edit: I'm dancing at the "i love you" spot now. Makes me feel special when all the monks come to admire me.

Edit2: It's turning into a dance party now.

Edit3: Isn't he cute?

Ohh there's one clever bot amongst them. He does /dance and says "haha" at the i love you spot instead of the usual routine what everyone else does.
I'm just not too fond of him always laughing at my dancing.

Edit: Yet another pattern popped from the "Lovemachines" as I like to call them. This one is a bit strange. First they say "go" then "ok". After that they run to the lovespot and say something odd:

That particular bot was outside for five minutes before popping back in, so I'm guessing others have similar intervals.

Haha, this botspotting is pretty interesting.

Man, it's the Love guys? Haven't seen them in a while. So that's where the went to? Gotta go have a look. I like botspotting. For a bit of challenge, try spotting the mules.

I'd dispute that any programmer has gotten smarter, though - this is just a script, and a really bad one at that, a minor variation on the one the "lovemachines" have used before. No programmer, or any intelligence, required involved.

There was one Elona bot for a while with a six-part monologue between runs, something along the lines of:

"Hey"

"Lol, I've lost the merchant"

"Where is he?"

"OMG here he is, I'll forget my own head I swear"

"...look at how silly I walk!"

...I actually fell for it the first time, and pompously told her to hold down ALT to find the merchant.

Anet just need a few human bot hunters who observe popular farming places and follow to a private instance. These few humans could ban tons of bots and they don't even have to be there every day. Buying a new account is not spammable process.

I just went to take a look for myself...

It's so funny. And so obvious when 10 bots at a time are spamming the same thing...

The most interesting bot I encountered there has to be a certain unnamed monk who says a word out of random letters when he pops in and second time at the lovepole. It was always fun to see him there to add variety so I sent him a whisper once:

Then he whispered "yeah" back. Funny part was that he continued to whisper me those random words. I felt all special when I got to hear them all alone.

New Hobby, Bot Spotting xD

This is pretty funny, i might have to make a similar bot for all my guildies (an emote and talking one, not a farming one of course)

Haha yeah, I'm still trying to get a screenshot of it. Anyway here's the latest news from Altrumm Ruins:

One of the usual bots had an outburst after hours worth of farming.
